I recently bought a Wacom lycra glove, and this has given me more motivation to use my tablet. I've learnt a lot about perspective since I last put it to good use; I thought I'd test out some freehand box rotations.

I read a book on lighting and shading the other week; I've tried applying the method to my drawings (using the eraser as a tool for drawing). I'm pretty happy with how the techniques have been helping me convey tone in graphite.

Our neighbour Paul, suggest drawing a profile picture of his daughter from reference. Here's a small sketch; I plan on drawin a larger copy, more detailed, on white paper tomorrow.

I've been away on a pseudo, yet much needed, holiday of sorts at a friends for a couple off weeks. This being said, I haven't been keeping up with my regular routine of drawing; something I want to heavily kick back into.
