I bought a small desk mirror recently to use my own face for reference. I found this provided great reference for making my own expressions, as well as proportions of the face. Next time I want to be more expressionist and less finnicky with my lines.

Most of the work left on Mouse House are backgrounds, so I've started contributing to that area of work. I'm not great at Photoshop painting, but hope I will improve as I go along.

Using internet sources online I experimented with some features in Photoshop. I researched about the uses of clipping layers and different modes and their uses. I also used prior knowledge on glow FX features to give a funky luminescence vibe to some aspects. I spent a lot of time just playing around with features but found this incredibly resourceful to use in future Photoshop painting.

This week I've been researching character designs for 90s cartoons, paying particular interest to shows on CN. I played with some ideas and tried to take into practice the colour scheme methods from a few weeks ago, but I feel like I need to invest more research in this.
