Character walk

This was my first attempt with referance, the file seemed to be corrupt when rendering, so I will attempt to resolve this in a 2nd attempt.

This version is a preview as the output from Celaction2d seemed to distort the video as a full file. I'm still having trouble with making the feet connect to the floor and will explore this further to make sure my character doesn't look like he's walking on ice. I feel this may be because I relied on the camera movement to simulate his walking, whereas I need his feet to remain static from a few keys and with relative timing.

Distortion

I was working on a project for a few friend's back home, as they asked me to design an album artwork for their band. I posted a few ideas and this is the one that stuck. I was also talking to a friend earlier this week about her illustration artwork and she has a common theme in some of her pieces of distorting her illustrations with glitch based effects. I looked up a brief tutorial on a style that I noticed a while ago and followed up on the artwork with this rendition.

I googled a few effects I could apply and applied one in photoshop

Urban Exploring research

This was my initial research for the urban exploring project, I've decided to create a model roughly resembling the urban structures but primarily Southbank's Undercroft.

Maya running dog

This was a 3D rig I followed in Maya to create a cycle of a running dog. It proved pretty effective as I followed a reference given to us in the lesson.

DGA160 - Storytelling for Animation

DGA160 - Storytelling for Animation

Storyboard (Speed and direction)
This was my first given assignment, I sketched out some rough panels inside my sketchbook and basic figures to guide the story line. I also included annotations and captions to make clear the story to be portrayed, this proved to be very untidy and I considered in my next storyboard to find a more formal layout possibly using a template and drawing digitally.

Storyboard (Deep)
This was my second assignment, I filled out the panels and gave more scene directions to it in a more organised way. I found the story board template very resourceful and plan to use this for more of my story boards. You can find my storyboard for this in the following link: Deep storyboard

GoJetters storyboard
This was our final storyboard project for DGA160 to go onto our animatic project. I found this storyboard fun to explore the different annotations and captions. You can find my Animatic and storyboard in the following link: GoJetters storyboard and animatic
